After graduating with honours from Sir Sandford Fleming College's Web Developer Program in August 2006 Shannan moved back home to her home in Lake of Bays, Muskoka Ontario and started Ripples Web Design less than a month later.

Shannan Boothby Photography was launched in July 2008 after Shannan was accepted into the juried art exhibit "Art in the Heart" that took place in Downtown Bracebridge, Muskoka, Ontario. After years of taking photos as a hobby she finally had the perfect excuse to turn her passion into her a second business.

Shannan Boothby is proud to support local not-for-profit community groups in the Muskoka area including the Rotary Club of Huntsville Annual Rotary Auction, Lake of Bays Fire & Water Rescue Fireboat Campaign, The Dwight Winter Carnival, as well as the Lake of Bays Anglican Parish.
